Training center

Make your dog a
BrilliantPad dog.

Most dogs can learn BrilliantPad with training. A small investment offers a big payoff: a healthier dog and a cleaner home.

Training best practices

The rules that apply to every dog

01
Be patient
All dogs need time to adopt new behavior. Calm and consistent wins.
02
Reward positive outcomes
Shower your pup with praise the moment they get it right. Treats work wonders.
03
No yelling, no punishment
Dogs rarely understand why they're being punished, and it usually backfires. Clean up with Tidy Shot and move on.

Your situation

Which best describes your dog?

Some dogs just need a little more time.

Grass patch users

Put BrilliantPad in the current potty spot with the turf covering the pad, then gradually cut the grass patch smaller until they're on BrilliantPad alone. How fast depends on how attached your dog is to the grass feel. Patience wins.

Nervous dogs

Let them investigate the machine switched off first. Reward every approach. Run the first advances while they're in another room. Expect steps forward and backward. Go slow, never force.

Adult dogs new to pads

An honest word: it's hard to teach old dogs new tricks. It can be done, but it takes expert coaching beyond what we can provide, and the transition guarantee doesn't cover it.
